Respect for resources

We do not generally inflict any injury upon us, unless one is mentally retarded or have no knowledge of the consequences that ensue.
But as a surprise we are in the process of making the life more unpleasant for ourselves and to the future generations. The indiscriminate use of resources is the cause of it. There is no big difference between the educated and uneducated when it comes to abuse of resources. At every stage we are contributing to it knowingly or unknowingly. Further, we contend that maximum utilisation of resources is an indication of the growth of the country.
No one respects the resources because we are born to be reactive creatures. Even with the adverse impacts of climate change being estimated by the national and international institutions, we tend to ignore it. I feel we do not act until we become the victims of the problem sooner or later. But this attitude makes the livable life near impossible for our future generations. Proactive stand is the need of the hour.
Make a rational assessment of every act of yours in consuming the resources of the nature. It is not that I am asking you to be more philanthropic but warning you to make sure that your actions do not consume you at later stages.
No doubt that technology is advancing to make the life better but at the cost of difficult sustenance in the future. It is our duty to respect the resources and make effective use of them.
